Professional Practices

 Last week I have been to Poland, so I was able to catch up with my relatives and talk about various topics. We were able to spend time together because in the first week of May in Poland we usually have what we call Majowka which is a long holiday where you are off from Saturday till Wednesday. Holidays include the 1st of May which is a Labour day. the 2nd of May is a Flag Day and the 3rd of May is Constitution Day. I am glad I went because I was able to reset and spend time together.  Majority of the time I have spent in my hometown where I visited my Grandparents Auntie and Uncle. Where I haven't told them I'm coming as it was meant to be a surprise. First I visited my grandparents and my grandma just stood shook as I rang the bell. And said Albercik?  I was lucky because the weather during the whole trip was sunny.

Overall, I think the branding project went well this was due to the fact that I already had the brand, and website set up so I knew what I wanted it to look like. So I have saved a lot of time which allowed to focus on my Degree Project and personal life.  Throughout the project, I had to make various decisions where some had played a minor role but others were crucial to the project. One of the first crucial decisions I had to make was whether I should stick with my previously made name of Albert//able and after some discussion with Dean, we have decided that it's not that bad. So, I extended the domain name of the website for another year.  Another crucial decision when designing a Showreel was how to present my work in a somewhat interesting way rather than just sticking a picture up and calling it finished.  Today, I have been further looking for a job via TheDots and Indeed and I have applied to two places. One of them is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer whereas the other place is looking for a freelance designer for a fixed period of time. I have been looking through various internships as I realised that it i want to get real-world experience. 

 Now that majority of the content is finished I'm just double-checking everything is fine. I have also decided to export the files into .SVG as I know that not everyone might have an Adobe Suite. So, within the submission folder I have divided into two categories Adobe Files and .SVG/TIFF Files.

 Today, I have focused on further improving the packing by adding in mockups of business card and brochure to better visualise what the branding would look like.
